Asia’s Treasures - Shwedagon Pagoda is all about one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Southeast Asia: the Shwedagon Pagoda in Rangoon, Myanmar. The Shwedagon Pagoda is located at the top of Singuttara hill in the heart of Rangoon, Burma’s capital. The Shwedagon Pagoda is a 98 meters high Stupa covered by thousands of gold leafs and surrounded by 68 stunningly beautiful temples. The beauty of the Shwedagon Pagoda is not only coming from its shining stupa or the magnificent temples all around it, but also because the place is full of devoted Burmeses praying all over the site day and night.
